Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and organization of materials within a designated facility. This role ensures efficient, safe, and accurate handling of goods, adhering to all safety protocols and operational standards. The individual will be a key player in maintaining smooth operations in the inventory management process.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy.
- Store materials in designated locations and keep inventory records up-to-date.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring correct packaging and documentation.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist in inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and performing manual labor.
