Job Summary
The Test Engineer specializes in the planning and execution of test programs for various systems related to combat, weapons, and non-propulsion electronics within submarine classes. This role is crucial in ensuring that all systems are fully operational and meet the necessary standards for safety and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test programs for submarine systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards throughout the testing process.
- Certify that all prerequisites for testing are met before commencing.
- Assess and analyze test data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Document any non-conformances and communicate them effectively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in shipboard construction, testing, or operations is essential.
- Must have the capability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
