$27-32/HR Test Technician Overview
The Test Technician will perform testing of aerospace electronic control units, rotating machines, MRO units, and production subassemblies. This role will set up test equipment, collect and analyze test data, troubleshoot results, and work with Engineering to develop test methods that ensure products meet required specifications. The position supports both production and MRO testing and requires adherence to FAA safety guidelines. Test Technician Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform production and MRO testing of aerospace electronic and electromechanical equipment.
  • Set up and operate electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and related test equipment and fixtures.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of AC power systems, power generation equipment, generators, and rotating machines.
  • Set up and test hydraulic and oil-cooled systems, including monitoring system performance and identifying faults.
  • Perform electronic and board-level testing of production subassemblies.
  • Use test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other electrical/electronic instrumentation.
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data to verify products meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot test failures and continue testing until requirements are met.
  • Assist with environmental testing as needed for production and MRO units.
  • Work with Product Design Engineers to develop and improve test methods.
  • Complete test documentation and prepare clear, accurate test reports.
  • Follow FAA, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Support occasional domestic/international travel and evening/night hours as needed.

Test Technician Qualifications

  • Hands-on technical experience in electronics testing, electrical testing, power systems, hydraulics, or related equipment.
  • Experience with electronics test and troubleshooting required.
  • Experience with one or more of the following strongly preferred:
    • AC power systems
    • Power generation or generators
    • Hydraulic equipment
    • Oil-cooled systems
    • Rotating machines
    • Industrial power equipment
  • Experience setting up and operating test equipment and fixtures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and test requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, MRO, or another regulated testing environment is a plus.
  • Degree is not required; equivalent hands-on technical experience will be considered.
  • U.S. Person required due to export control requirements; no sponsorship available.
