Job description
Job Summary
The Textile/Linen Handler plays a crucial role in managing and processing textile materials and linens within a facility. This position involves ensuring that all linens and textiles are handled efficiently, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for use.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and store linens and textile materials according to established procedures.
- Ensure linens are washed, dried, and ironed to meet quality standards.
- Maintain inventory records of linens and textiles, making sure stock levels are sufficient.
- Manage and handle textiles safely, minimizing damage and contamination.
- Assist in quality control operations by inspecting linens for cleanliness and condition.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations within the linen and textile department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in handling textiles or similar materials is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads.
