Trailer Service Mechanic

Job Summary

The Trailer Service Mechanic plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of various trailer types. This position involves diagnosing issues and performing repairs to ensure a safe and efficient operation of trailers.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect trailers for defects and malfunctions.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on trailers, including brake adjustments, tire replacements, and suspension repairs.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
  • Adhere to safety regulations during all maintenance and repair operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • Proven experience in trailer or vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Ability to use various hand and power tools effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
