Job Summary
The Trailer Service Mechanic plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of various trailer types. This position involves diagnosing issues and performing repairs to ensure a safe and efficient operation of trailers.
Responsibilities
- Inspect trailers for defects and malfunctions.
- Conduct routine maintenance on trailers, including brake adjustments, tire replacements, and suspension repairs.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Adhere to safety regulations during all maintenance and repair operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Proven experience in trailer or vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
