Job Summary
The Trauma Ortho, Med Surg RN plays a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients with orthopedic injuries and other medical-surgical conditions. This position requires a compassionate and skilled registered nurse who is capable of working with a diverse patient population while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during their recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop nursing plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and enhance recovery outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and health management.
- Document patient care and progress accurately in medical records.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families dealing with traumatic injuries.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
- Experience in trauma orthopedic nursing and medical-surgical care preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
