Job Summary
The Trauma-Orthopedic/Medical-Surgical position involves providing high-quality clinical care to patients who present with traumatic injuries and those requiring surgical interventions in a medical-surgical setting. This role is critical in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through effective management and rehabilitation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Administer comprehensive care to patients with orthopedic and traumatic conditions.
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams to prepare for and assist in various surgical procedures.
- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions post-surgery to recognize any complications early.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records to reflect patient progress and treatments.
Qualifications
- Hold a relevant nursing degree or equivalent qualification.
- Possess a valid nursing license to practice in the respective state.
- A minimum of one year of experience in trauma, orthopedics, or medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in patient care assessment and management.
