Job description
Job Summary
The Trauma Registrar plays a critical role in the healthcare system by ensuring accurate and timely documentation of trauma cases. This position involves the collection, maintenance, and analysis of trauma data to support quality improvement, patient care, and trauma research initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collect and evaluate trauma registry data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain and update the trauma registry in accordance with state and national guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to trauma services.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure correct data entry and reporting processes.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and trauma performance improvement meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in trauma registry or healthcare data management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with trauma coding and classification systems.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and data management software.
