Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technician specializes in conducting pelvic and obstetrical ultrasounds within an outpatient OB/GYN setting. This role entails capturing high-quality images, taking precise measurements, and acquiring Doppler samples to assist in diagnostic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform pelvic and obstetrical ultrasound examinations.
- Capture and record images and measurements accurately.
- Obtain Doppler samples as necessary during procedures.
- Document ultrasound findings meticulously for physician review.
- Assist physicians in identifying and managing any abnormalities detected.
- Ensure ultrasound equipment is well-maintained and functioning properly.
Qualifications
- Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is necessary.
- Nuchal Translucency certification is needed.
- Strong clinical skills are essential for effective patient care.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with medical staff and patients.
- Organizational abilities to manage multiple patient cases in a fast-paced environment.
