Job Summary
The Vascular Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from vascular surgeries. This position involves close monitoring of patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs and overall condition post-surgery.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per physician orders.
- Document and report any significant changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes and care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a step-down or critical care unit, preferably in vascular nursing.
- Strong knowledge of vascular procedures and post-operative care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
