Job Summary
The Veterinary Technician plays a crucial role in providing medical care for animals, assisting veterinarians with procedures, and ensuring the well-being of patients in a clinical setting. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about animal health and has the necessary skills to support veterinary practices effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results to aid in treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Communicate with pet owners about care instructions and treatment options.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited veterinary technician program.
- Certification or licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to manage and handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in veterinary clinics or animal hospitals is preferred.
