Job Summary
The Surgical Technician plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by assisting surgeons and other medical staff. This position mandates a high level of attention to detail and efficiency to ensure that operating rooms are sterile and well-equipped prior to procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during operations.
- Set up surgical instruments and equipment needed for various procedures.
- Ensure effective communication with the surgical team for optimal collaboration.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions during surgeries as required.
- Assist in the cleanup and restocking of the operating room after procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
- Certification by a recognized surgical technology board is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
