Job Summary
Sevenson Environmental Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Wastewater Plant Operator for its facility located in Portland, Oregon. This role involves working 24/7 shifts at the wastewater treatment plant, where the operator will be engaged in maintaining and operating plant equipment to ensure effective wastewater treatment processes. The hourly wage ranges from $28.00 to $38.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant equipment and systems.
- Supervise treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Monitor plant operations and data to optimize performance.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Document daily operations and report any issues to management.
- Assist in emergency response situations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of plant equipment and operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 shift environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
