Job Summary
The Nutritionist plays a key role in overseeing the certification process for clients, which encompasses evaluating, assessing, and providing counseling to participants of the WIC program. This position is essential in ensuring accurate documentation of client information and facilitating educational sessions on nutrition.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the certification process for WIC participants, including screening and assessment.
- Provide counseling services to clients.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date client records.
- Conduct nutrition education sessions to promote healthy eating habits.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or a related discipline.
- Compliance with the Illinois Department of Human Services requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience with client management systems is highly preferred.
