Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will deliver all-encompassing care within the labor and delivery, postpartum, and antepartum departments. This role is pivotal in performing patient assessments, crafting care plans, and administering medications. Additionally, the nurse will engage in patient education, facilitate discharge planning, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to guarantee optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Administer medications as per established protocols.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding care and treatments.
- Coordinate discharge planning to ensure successful transitions post-care.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to enhance patient care quality.
Qualifications
- Must possess a current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
- At least two years of recent experience in labor and delivery is required.
- Proficiency in clinical certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing is mandatory.
