Job Summary
The Forklift Field Service Technician is responsible for providing exceptional on-site repair and maintenance services for forklifts and related equipment. This role demands strong technical skills and an ability to troubleshoot complex issues while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The technician will operate independently, diagnosing problems, conducting repairs, and advising clients on equipment performance and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic assessments to identify issues in forklift machinery.
- Carry out necessary repairs and maintenance tasks on various types of forklifts.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of all work performed.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service recommendations and equipment status.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all service activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting and provide training to clients on the proper use of equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical education or certifications in mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role with hands-on mechanical repair skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical situations.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a mobile environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, as travel to client locations is required.
