Job Summary

The Project Engineer for Municipal Water and Wastewater plays a crucial role in planning, designing, and overseeing engineering projects related to water and wastewater systems. This position involves working on a variety of projects to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the successful implementation of engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of municipal water and wastewater projects from planning to completion.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify project requirements and objectives.
  • Create detailed engineering designs, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to analyze project viability.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular updates for clients and management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or working towards it.
  • Experience in municipal water and wastewater engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
