Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician in the 3 South ICU Neuro unit is a vital role responsible for delivering exceptional patient care during critical moments. This per diem position requires flexibility and a dedication to supporting nursing staff while ensuring the comfort and safety of patients in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily patient care tasks under the supervision of nursing personnel.
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient status regularly.
- Support patients with mobility and personal hygiene needs.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized patient environment.
- Provide emotional support and reassuring communication to patients and families.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program is preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in critical care or ICU, is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Must be able to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
