Job Summary
The Life Skills Coach – Residential Based II plays a vital role in assisting individuals in developing critical life skills. This position aims to foster independence and improve the quality of life for residents by implementing personalized coaching strategies within a residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to residents in enhancing daily living skills.
- Develop and implement tailored coaching plans based on each resident’s needs.
- Encourage and facilitate goal setting with residents to promote personal growth.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans to ensure residents are meeting their objectives.
- Engage residents in a variety of activities that build life skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive community environment.
- Document and maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and challenges.
Qualifications
- A background in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals in a residential or coaching capacity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with residents.
- Ability to develop personalized strategies for skill development.
- Understanding of behavioral management techniques and life coaching principles.
