Job Summary
The position involves leading lactation rounds at the bedside and delivering tailored breastfeeding consultations, educational support, and care strategies for mothers and their families in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct bedside lactation rounds and provide personalized breastfeeding guidance.
- Develop and implement educational initiatives and care plans for mothers and families.
- Facilitate staff education and participation in shared governance.
- Coordinate lactation supply management and breast pump services.
- Collaborate with various healthcare team members to enhance service delivery.
- Monitor the quality of lactation services and track financial metrics.
Qualifications
- Must satisfy AAMC credentialing standards and possess IBCLC certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) candidates should have a valid Maryland nursing license.
- Open to applications from current medical school graduates.
- CPR certification is mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
