Job Summary
The Wire EDM Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in providing technical support and maintenance services for wire electrical discharge machining equipment. This role involves traveling to various client sites to install, troubleshoot, and repair EDM machines while ensuring they operate at optimal efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of Wire EDM machines.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and performance.
- Provide training and guidance to customers on the operation and maintenance of EDM machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve customer issues and improve service procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest technology and developments in wire EDM machinery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in field service support for manufacturing equipment, preferably with Wire EDM technology.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a field service setting.
- A relevant technical degree or certification in engineering or a related field is preferred.
