Job Summary
The Medical Equipment Technician is responsible for the delivery, setup, and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment. In this role, the technician also provides education to patients and their caregivers regarding the safe operation of the equipment. Additionally, the technician conducts patient assessments, manages order processing, and ensures adherence to safety protocols and confidentiality regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and home medical equipment
- Educate patients and caregivers on the safe usage of the equipment
- Perform assessments of patients to ensure proper care
- Process orders accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
- Experience in healthcare, field service, or delivery is preferred
- A valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required
