Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in assisting pediatric healthcare providers by overseeing patient flow and conducting various clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and EKGs. This position also involves keeping examination rooms orderly and facilitating various clerical functions that support patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow and assist in the clinical processes for pediatric patients.
- Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms.
- Handle clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.
- Document medical records accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Certifications in BLS or CPR are mandatory.
- Must obtain various state-required clearances including child abuse and FBI background checks.
