Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist position at Mercy Hospital NWA in Bella Vista, Arkansas, is primarily focused on supporting surgical teams in the Operating Room (OR). This role involves coordinating comprehensive care for patients undergoing surgery in collaboration with a dedicated medical team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
- Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Manage and handle surgical tools and assist the surgeon during procedures as required.
- Maintain a hygienic and organized surgical environment to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient vitals and other necessary information during surgery.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus.
