Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room by assisting surgical teams in preparing for and conducting operations. This position requires an understanding of sterile techniques and the ability to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff. The surgical technologist will also collaborate with various healthcare professionals to ensure the effective management of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment to ensure compliance with sterilization standards.
- Assist in labeling and organizing surgical items prior to procedures.
- Work closely with patient care providers to assess patient needs.
- Support the surgical team throughout the procedure and ensure adherence to fire safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (Tech II or similar designation) is preferred.
