Job Summary
The Robotics Hardware Team is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the evolution of healthcare technology. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including Neurosurgeons, operating room personnel, manufacturing groups, and suppliers, focusing on the enhancement of robotic systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Neurosurgeons and OR staff to understand and optimize the requirements for surgical robots.
- Work with engineering teams on the design and refinement of actuators and structures.
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs) and user testing to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Support the manufacturing process and engage with suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in robotics or medical device design is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with FMEA and user testing methodologies.
