Job Summary
The position of Surgical Technologist involves supporting surgical procedures by ensuring that necessary instruments and materials are prepared in accordance with sterilization protocols. The role is critical in maintaining safety and efficiency in the operating room.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the surgical operating area and ensure that all necessary supplies are ready for procedures.
- Verify that surgical instruments and items meet required sterilization standards.
- Assure adherence to fire safety processes within the surgical environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient needs effectively.
- Support patient care teams throughout surgical processes.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
- Eligibility for certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
- Experience as a Surgical Tech II or similar role is advantageous.
