Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist, Per Diem for Pediatric Operating Room at Mission Bay, plays a vital role in the surgical team by ensuring a sterile and efficiently prepared environment for surgical procedures. This position involves coordinating patient care and maintaining records, as well as liaising with various healthcare professionals to fulfill operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain sterile environments and instruments for surgical procedures.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care needs and interactions with the surgical team.
- Document patient data meticulously for accurate record-keeping.
- Ensure adherence to operating room attire and safety protocols.
- Facilitate the safe disposal of medications and other sterile items.
- Collaborate with Biomedical technicians for the repair and maintenance of surgical equipment.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience as a Surgical Technologist, particularly in pediatric settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control practices.
