Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified AP Lead Accountant to join our team in Roseburg, Oregon. This position is critical as it holds the responsibility of ensuring compliance with state accounts payable regulations, sales and use tax matters, and the management of 1099 processing. The selected candidate will play a key role in optimizing financial procedures and establishing scalable controls to support the growing needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounts payable function to ensure adherence to state regulations.
- Manage all activities related to sales and use tax, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
- Supervise 1099 processing and ensure timely and accurate distributions.
- Contribute to the development of financial procedures and internal controls.
- Assist in creating scalable financial practices to accommodate organizational growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable management or a similar financial role.
- Strong understanding of sales/use tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience with 1099 reporting and related processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial controls and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
