Job Summary
This role is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in urgent care. The qualified candidate will deliver high-quality healthcare services to patients in an urgent care setting, addressing immediate medical needs and managing a range of health issues. The position requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to determine urgent medical needs.
- Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans based on patient diagnoses.
- Prescribe medications and provide guidance on management of conditions.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and preventive care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) and additional relevant certifications.
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
