Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) PRN position at Marshall Medical Centers North is a crucial role within the Ob/Gyn department. The primary focus is to provide superb nursing care to patients during day shifts, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Assist with medical procedures and exams to support healthcare providers.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and health status accurately.
- Educate patients and their families regarding healthcare and wellness practices.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of Alabama.
- Experience in Ob/Gyn nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
