Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This role requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to promote mental well-being and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care and interventions tailored to the behavioral health needs of patients.
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications and monitor their effects on patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and preferences.
- Engage in therapeutic communication with patients and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Document patient observations and care provided accurately in health records.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health nursing is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification, with additional certification in behavioral health recommended.
