Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a critical role in the operating room by preparing all necessary equipment, ensuring that surgical instruments are sterilized, and providing essential support during surgical procedures. This position focuses on maintaining a safe environment for patients, which is paramount in the surgical setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and maintain a sterile environment.
- Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assist surgical teams during procedures by providing tools and materials as needed.
- Ensure patient safety before, during, and after surgery.
- Support the overall operations and efficiency of the surgical team.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a surgical technologist may be preferred or required.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and the medical terminology associated with them.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
