Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist I is tasked with providing essential support in the operating room environment and ensuring on-call readiness for surgical procedures. This role encompasses both preparation for surgeries and assistance during various medical interventions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring a sterilized environment and proper functionality.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operations by providing necessary tools and supplies in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, efficient surgical environment before, during, and after procedures.
- Participate in patient positioning and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the surgical process.
- Remain available for on-call duties, ready to respond to emergent surgical needs as required.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and capability of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting.
- Basic understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
