Job Summary
The Medical Assistant is responsible for executing both clinical and administrative functions within a healthcare setting. This position encompasses patient care tasks, as well as support duties that ensure efficient operational flow in the practice.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients and collecting vital signs.
- Assisting surgeons with minor procedures and providing wound care support.
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing referral processes.
- Updating and maintaining patient medical records.
Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized national body such as AAMA or NCCT is required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a medical assistant is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems is advantageous.
