Job Summary
The Build Engineer specializing in Starship Mechanisms plays a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanisms used in cutting-edge space vehicles. This position combines technical expertise with a hands-on approach to ensure that innovative solutions are delivered effectively, propelling advancements in aerospace engineering.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine mechanical designs for Starship systems.
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate mechanisms into overall systems.
- Conduct analysis and testing to validate mechanisms under operational conditions.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings and specifications.
- Implement solutions to manufacturing and assembly challenges.
- Support production activities by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative engineering solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Experience with aerospace systems and mechanisms is highly advantageous.
