Job Summary
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for managing the entire laundry process, which includes the collection, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens and personal garments. This role requires the safe and efficient operation of laundry equipment, as well as adherence to maintenance and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and manage linens and personal clothing.
- Operate laundry equipment in a safe manner.
- Ensure proper washing, drying, and folding of items.
- Distribute clean items to residents, staff, and guests.
- Maintain accurate activity records.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Follow infection control procedures consistently.
- Provide excellent customer service to all residents and staff.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in laundry services is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Effective communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
- Must reside within the designated service area.
- Capability to perform physical tasks and work around cleaning chemicals.
