Job Summary
The role of the OR Surgical Technologist is pivotal in supporting surgical teams by ensuring that operating rooms are properly equipped and organized for various procedures. This position demands high levels of precision and attention to detail to contribute to successful surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical operations.
- Assist surgeons and nurses by providing necessary instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Ensure that all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after operations.
- Manage surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in working order.
- Participate in the setup of surgical instruments and equipment prior to surgeries.
- Involve in the cleanup and turnover of operating rooms post-procedure.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in the operating room at all times.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure and professionalism.
