Job Summary
The Lead Clinical Research Associate plays a pivotal role in the management and oversight of clinical trials, ensuring that all activities comply with regulatory standards and organizational protocols. This position is key in supporting the successful execution of clinical studies and the facilitation of communication between various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, initiation, and monitoring phases of clinical trials.
- Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines across all study-related activities.
- Coordinate with investigators, sites, and internal departments to resolve issues and provide guidance.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate compliance, data integrity, and work quality.
- Review and approve clinical trial documentation, including protocols and consent forms.
- Lead and mentor junior staff members, providing training and support as needed.
- Prepare and participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant life science or healthcare field; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Proven experience in clinical research, with a strong understanding of clinical trial phases.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and GCP guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to facilitate teamwork and collaborations.
- Proficiency in clinical trial management systems and data management tools.
