Job Summary
The Material Handler plays a crucial role in the efficient movement and management of materials and products in a warehouse or production environment. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials as well as maintaining accurate inventory records to support operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and products for quality and quantity.
- Accurately record inventory data and ensure proper storage of materials in designated areas.
- Organize and manage warehouse space for optimal efficiency.
- Prepare and package materials for shipment or distribution.
- Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Comply with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Proven experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks as required.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
