The Surgical Technologist – Main OR (PT) position in Saint Louis, Missouri is essential for supporting the surgical team in the Operating Room. The role is designed for individuals eager to either begin their professional journey or for seasoned Surgical Technologists. This position involves a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure the Operating Room is sterile and organized before, during, and after surgeries.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to manage patient care effectively.
- Prepare and handle surgical instruments with utmost precision and care.
- Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Knowledge of operating room procedures and protocols.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with surgical teams.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred but not mandatory.
