Job Summary
The role involves the preparation of diverse specimens for analysis while ensuring accurate patient identification and meticulous tracking during the entire process. The incumbent will also be responsible for the upkeep of equipment, handling of chemical waste, and conducting gross examinations on surgical biopsies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare various specimens for analytical purposes.
- Maintain accurate patient identification and tracking throughout the specimen processing.
- Perform equipment maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage chemical waste in accordance with safety regulations.
- Conduct gross examinations of surgical biopsy samples.
Qualifications
- An Associate of Science degree in histology, biology, or a related field, or a high school diploma with a minimum of four years of pertinent experience.
- A valid Arizona driver’s license is required.
- Access to a personal vehicle for transportation needs.
