Job Summary
The University Medical Associates is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Emergency Medicine to join our dynamic team. This position is based onsite in Brooklyn, New York, and entails providing advanced medical care in emergency settings, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute patient conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed patient examinations and evaluations.
- Formulate and implement patient management plans for emergency situations.
- Administer diagnostic tests, including radiological and laboratory assessments, to accurately determine patient health conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options and health management.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, with relevant specializations in Emergency Medicine.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
