Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in the inpatient pharmacy by aiding in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of both sterile and nonsterile medications. This position is critical in supporting patient care through precise medication management and recordkeeping.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and filling of medications.
- Distribute sterile and nonsterile medications within the pharmacy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Manage pharmacy inventory effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program or six months of relevant work experience.
- Registration with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy is mandatory.
- Must possess required clearances.
