Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hematology/Oncology Infusion team in Orangeburg, South Carolina. This position requires expertise in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evaluations and ongoing management for patients undergoing hematology/oncology treatments.
- Perform thorough physical examinations and order necessary diagnostic tests, including radiological and laboratory assessments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care procedures.
- Document patient interactions and treatment progress in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program or an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in oncology or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
