Job Summary
The University of Washington Medical Center Montlake Campus is seeking experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Intensive Care (CTICU) Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. These positions are pivotal in providing comprehensive care in the fast-paced setting of a cardiothoracic intensive care unit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing and medical care to critically ill cardiothoracic patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition promptly.
- Assist with various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment options and care processes.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Washington State Registered Nurse Licensure required for ARNP roles.
- Prior experience in critical care or a related field is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clinical staff and families.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make quick decisions.
