Job Summary
The RN – Registered Nurse – OR – Operating Room position involves delivering high-level nursing care within the surgical environment. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, this role requires the nurse to function onsite and play a vital role in assisting with surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes promptly.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are ready and sterile.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in the operating room.
- Document nursing care and communicate with the healthcare team effectively.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of South Carolina.
- Previous experience in Operating Room settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Availability for 3×12 shift patterns as required.
