Job Summary
The primary focus of this role is to serve as a surgical scrub technician specializing in the use of the Da Vinci XI robotic system for various surgical procedures including urology, gynecology, general surgery, and ophthalmology. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring that all necessary instruments are available and prepared for the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment before procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical operations.
- Assist the surgical team by handing over instruments and anticipating needs during surgeries.
- Perform cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments post-procedure.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other operating room personnel to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
- Participate in training and continuing education to stay updated with advancements in robotic surgical techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a surgical scrub technician, preferably in the specified specialties.
- Certification in surgical technology is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments, including the ability to operate the Da Vinci XI system.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
