Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night Shift in the Surgical Decision Unit (SDU). This position focuses on delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing surgery and ensuring seamless transitions from the operating room to recovery. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Surgical Decision Unit during the night shift.
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, managing changes in their condition as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with surgical teams and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and procedures.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations and policies.
- Assist in coordinating patient flow and addressing any concerns or needs throughout the night.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in surgical nursing or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a dynamic patient care environment.
