Externs will engage in legal and policy research, aid in preparing advocacy documents and court filings, and lend support to legislative or community initiatives. They might also take part in hearings, meetings with decision-makers, and observe different court sessions. Applicants should be currently enrolled in a law school or a graduate program in areas such as criminal justice, public policy, or a similar discipline.
